Miles
THROUGH THE LENS: FINDING THE FRAME
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Miles Clark discovered photography through an iPod, documenting everyday life and sharing images through early Instagram accounts. What began as a hobby quickly became a way of seeing the world—a pursuit of preserving moments that feel honest, cinematic, and lasting.
Growing up surrounded by Los Angeles’ rich film culture and later studying Film & Media at UC Berkeley, Miles developed a natural connection between photography and storytelling. His multicultural background further shaped his appreciation for different artistic traditions and perspectives, influencing the way he approaches each subject with curiosity and intention. Whether photographing people, brands, concerts, hospitality, or everyday life, Miles looks for the subtle details that bring an image emotion, atmosphere, and a genuine sense of place.
Working across both digital and analog formats—including 35mm photography and 16mm film—has deepened his appreciation for light, texture, and intentional image-making. Regardless of the medium, Miles approaches every frame with purpose, creating imagery that feels considered, cinematic, and true to the moment.
